Kodak Instamatic

Kodak Instamatic

  • $25.00 In stock: 0

Remember the package of 5 block flash bulbs, each of the four sides it’s own flash?! If you do, then you know the Kodak Instamatic well! We grew up with this type of camera, and having it in plain sight can bring back great memories of childhood. A worthy addition to any book shelf! It’s in great shape, and everything is in working order. However, it’s not been film tested but it should work if you want to take it for a spin!

The Instamatic was a series of inexpensive, easy-to-load 126 and 110 cameras made by Kodak beginning in 1963. The Instamatic was immensely successful, introducing a generation to low-cost photography and spawning numerous imitators. The first Instamatics went on sale in early 1963. They were the first cameras to utilize Kodak's new 126 format. The easy-load film cartridge made the cameras very inexpensive to produce, as it provided the film backing plate and exposure counter itself and thus saved considerable design complexity and manufacturing cost for the cameras.

Brownie Bullet

Brownie Bullet

  • $25.00 In stock: 1

The Kodak Brownie Bullet is a unique item as it was not a camera sold at retail, but rather a promotional tool for other companies. We saw a story where a young boy in 1960 saved Campbell soup labels and sent away for a free Kodak Brownie Bullet. A smart marketing campaign for Kodak to gain customers and ultimately sell more film and processing. The Brownie Bullet is modeled after a retail camera called the Brownie Holiday.

This camera is in excellent, working condition. However, it has not been film tested.
